A seminar on “Science of Science Policy: EU-US Roadmap to Measuring the Results of Investments in Science” is set to take place on Tuesday, 18 October 2011, from 10.00 to 13.00 in the European Parliament in room ASP1-E2. The seminar is to be hosted by Niki Tzavela, MEP and Cristina Gutierrez- Cortines, MEP.

The meeting will discuss the development of EU-US collaboration in creating a common theoretical and empirical infrastructure to describe and assess the outcomes of science investments to inform science policy making. The seminar will present the roadmap that resulted from the EU-US Science of Science Policy workshop at the Rockefeller Foundation that took place in 27-30 June 2011 in Bellagio Italy. The meeting will also present future possible implementation steps and will explore science policy evaluation with reference to Horizon 2020.

The meeting follows up on a Science of Science Policy Workshop at the Rockefeller Foundation in Bellagio, Italy, on June 28 2011.
