ISC, in collaboration with the Arab League Educational, Cultural & Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is organising a roundtable seminar on 3 December 2014 from 08:15 - 09:00 in Brussels, which aims to evaluate science cooperation between Europe and Arab nations and explore potential synergies between the two regions. Additionally, it will also focus on collaboration between the European Union (EU) and Arab countries in the context of EU’s new development funding strategies, particularly discussing the Development Cooperation Instrument.
This meeting is organised in advance of the “Arab Forum for Scientific Research and Sustainable Development” - organised by ALECSO on 19 - 21 December 2014 in Dubai. As a Tunis-based institution of the Arab League, comprised of 22 member states, ALECSO is dedicated to promoting regional synergies in education, culture and science and welcomes collaborative efforts with the EU and the chance to position Tunisia as the international community’s “gateway” to new and developing markets throughout the Arab world.
