On January 17th, 2014, New York University’s Center for Urban Science Progress will host a TSF meeting focusing on Urban Science and Subnational Research Initiatives. Transatlantic Science Forum (TSF) held meeting in Washington, D.C. and Brussels and will host meetings in other American and European cities.. The TSF is an outcome of the EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration (ES:GC2) conference held at the European Parliament from March 4-8, 2013. 


The goal of the TSF, co-chaired by Sean Kelly, MEP and Mr Declan Kirrane of ISC Intelligence in Science, is dedicated to exploring the implications of research and innovation in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). The main objective of the TSF is to input a chapter exclusively on research and innovation to the formal TTIP negotiation process. 


This meeting in New York will focus on urban science and subnational research initatives and how the TTIP would impact these themes.
