After workshops in June (Brussels) and July (Cape Town), the AERAP stakeholders will continue working on the implementation of the AERAP Framework Programme for Cooperation during a meeting on 4 and 5 November 2013 in Brussels.
The event will consist of several working sessions dedicated to flagship projects that have been identified during the first implementation workshop. Further, information sessions on future funding opportunities, mainly Horizon 2020, are planned.
The AERAP Framework Programme for Cooperation constitutes a comprehensive but focused agenda for African-European radio astronomy cooperation. This framework programme proposes several key actions (specific cooperation initiatives) under seven thematic priorities: research infrastructures; instrumentation; research and development; support for global projects; human capital development; ICT and Big Data; renewable energy for radio astronomy; astronomy as a tool for science education and public understanding. The overarching goal of this programme is to ensure strategic focus as well as synergy in advancing African-European radio astronomy cooperation.
The opening of the registration will be announced via the AERAP mailing list.
